Fan Ziqiao was born on 12 July. Heart defects were detected for him during the pregnancy.
范子侨出生于7月12日，在妈妈怀孕时已检查出有先天心脏病。
Fan Ziqiao is the youngest of 3 children, he has a 2 year 3 month old sister and a 13 year old brother. His father works for a timber factory and his mother looks after his sister. The older brother lives with his grandparents in Henan province.
他还有一个13岁的姐姐和2岁的哥哥。爸爸在一家木材厂工作，妈妈在家照看小孩。大儿子目前与爷爷奶奶同住。
Fan Ziqiao’s grandmother has also had health issues requiring surgeries, so the family have travelled to visit her and their oldest son. Fortunately some of the cost of Fan Ziqiao’s surgery is covered by health insurance, however there is still an outstanding amount.
范子侨的奶奶去年也患病住院，因此家里有一定的花销。比较值得庆幸的是范子侨有本地医保可以报销大部分费用，但他们一家还是捉襟见肘。
