Boy Liu is a 7-year-old boy, diagnosed with a relatively complex cardiac disease with double outlet right ventricle with transposition of the great arteries.
男孩刘是一名7岁男孩，被诊断为右心室双出口伴大动脉转位的较为复杂的心脏病。
When boy Liu was born, he suffered from congenital heart disease and VSF (ventricular septal defect). He went under surgery in Beijing when he was just one year old, but surgery couldn’t fix the problem completely. Growing up he often had symptoms like purple lips, not enough power to walk stairs and occasional pneumonia.
男孩刘出生时患有先天性心脏病和VSF（心脏室间隔缺损）。他一岁时在北京动过手术，但手术并未能彻底解决问题。在成长过程中，他经常出现嘴唇发紫、走楼梯无力和偶尔患肺炎等症状。
His father is a courier working alone in Beijing and his mother is a staying at home mom taking care of the three children and grandparents in their hometown Shandong. The family can’t cover the hospital costs which are about Rmb20k per year. With the money they parents borrowed and the insurance, the family can cover some costs but there’s still a gap to fill.
他的父亲是一名独自在北京工作的快递员，他的母亲是一位全职妈妈，在山东老家照顾三个孩子和爷爷奶奶。每年约2万元人民币的住院费用，全家无力承担。有了父母借的钱和保险，一家人可以支付一些费用，但仍有缺口需要填补。
